Paul Williamson, M.Sc., P.Geo., Hydrogeologist

Mr. Williamson is a geoscientist in training with more than five years of consulting experience in earth sciences including high-level involvement in hydrogeological assessments, contaminated site investigations and remediation projects. Paul also holds a B.Sc. degree in Environmental Science from the University of Toronto and a M.Sc. degree in hydrogeology from the University of Waterloo.

Paul has extensive experience in field data collection, technical report writing, and project management developed while servicing a broad range of stakeholders including private landowners, First Nations communities and the Federal government. During the initial stages of his career, Paul was primarily involved in conducting preliminary and detailed contaminated site investigations and overseeing large scale remediation projects. During this time, he designed and supervised numerous drilling and test pitting programs, performed hydraulic response testing and groundwater surveys, and assisted in developing detailed conceptual site models. Since joining Western Water Associates, Paul’s focus has shifted to predominately “clean” groundwater. He has gained a wealth of experience in water well design through a variety of projects including the installation of a small-scale well network for a residential subdivision and the construction of a large-scale, high-capacity well intended to supplement a municipality’s distribution supply. Outside of work, Paul enjoys playing basketball, getting outdoors and spending time with his family.
